"Since doing a mediation course with Suzy Langdon, I don’t know how or why I have previously lived without it!Suzy makes mediation simple, accessible, normal and essential.Life is better with just a few minutes of quiet in every day. It’s very subtle, but it enables you to choose how to perceive and respond to everything in every tiny moment of every day. This effect is very powerful, as I am far less stressed, and I feel happier, more focussed, more engaged with my family and my sleep is better too.I find it well worthwhile and Suzy’s teaching of the scientific benefits help me to keep up the practice.Thank you Suzy – you’ve made mediation make sense… and mediation is making sense of life!" "Dear Suzy, Just a quick email to say ‘thank you’ for your guidance during the course. My chatty mind was causing me great difficulty last year and I often felt like I was under siege from my own brain. I never really switched off- I could wake up at 4am and immediately sit down to work as I was always on high alert. I would see cooking dinner as a good time to also send 5-10 emails. My mind would catastrophize at every opportunity which was also starting to manifest physically. Sometimes I would just freeze, keys in hand, by the door. My mind and body were completely disconnected (something of a coping mechanism I think) and I would struggle to hold a conversation or read a book because the ten million other thoughts were so loud and fast moving. I was irritable and exhausted from never being truly present for anything. My wellbeing was not important to me, frankly it was not something I ever stopped and thought about. Ironic given I spent all of my time thinking!
I would also try to fight against the thoughts which really only made it worse, but your words were really useful in helping me to reframe my approach and try meditation again. Once I realised I did not need to battle them all, it became much easier! By week 2, I was starting to have these lovely brief feelings of my mind and body "plugging back into each other" and enjoying the feeling of actually being present- I had completely forgotten how this felt. I remember thinking “oh I am back in my body!” Having mind and body in the same room was very rare for me. During the course I have felt myself moving from reactive to responsive, as I mentioned tonight. This has been a huge breakthrough for me and quite a lightbulb moment of realising “I do not need to feel this way” and “I don’t have to put myself through this suffering”. I have been feeling an overall sense of calm and contentment with daily meditation- it is a massive relief. It is a bit like switching from black and white to ultra high-definition colour. I am more aware of the little things and feel more connected to both people and my surroundings. It has been great to be exposed to various kinds of meditation and there are so many things I want to continue to work on. I am not yet a master of meditation, but am definitely a step closer to mastering my own emotions and thoughts. I have a big birthday next week and 6 months ago I was doubtful I would make it, or if I really wanted to. I did not have any awareness of all of the brilliant things in my life.Thank you for helping me find my way back. H.S.
"I’d been wanting to learn how to meditate for many years. I’d read books, listened podcasts and even went to a taster session in London. I knew that meditation was good for one’s mental health and well-being, but I never really “got it”. However, during the five-week Introduction to Meditation Course with Suzy I had a “lightbulb moment”. I somehow knew that I was in the right place at the right time but most significantly with the right person. I often start things and don’t complete them, but I had no doubt I would be back to complete all five sessions. Suzy doesn’t “teach” but guides one through the different types of meditation and the benefits, discussing and sharing her own experiences. After six months I’m still practising, because that’s one of the most important lessons I learnt, meditation is a practise. Some days my practise is good, some days not so good, some days I miss out, but I am practising and will continue to practise - because I feel better. Although I’m retired stress becomes a habit and I’m learning to let go of that habit and am more positive and forgiving of others, and myself. Also, what I have experienced is that if I miss several days then my old habits start creeping back and my sense of wellbeing diminishes. Give meditation a go – especially with Suzy."
I would highly recommend Suzy and her practice! I cannot thank her enough; she has helped me endlessly with learning how to cope with stress and anxiety. Suzy has guided both my Mum and I through different meditations to find out which ones work for us independently. She is so patient, always has time for you and genuinely cares and takes an interest in you and your life. After initially feeling quite sceptical about meditation, which I think a lot of people probably do, I now love to meditate and it has really helped me manage life better, because of that I am a more relaxed person and it has benefitted me both in my work and personal life. I will continue to practice with Suzy’s guidance and would recommend every single person at least gives it a go. Once you've got into it, you won't look back! Laura M.
Suzy is a lovely character & easy to listen to & oozes relaxation. I didn't really want to try meditation but was encouraged to take part by my daughter. I have M.S. & desperately needed help to relax. Suzy has come to my rescue, she even got me tree hugging!!! She has helped in so many ways & I certainly am more relaxed & calmer. I have learned how to love myself again & not be so negative. I look forward to my next meditation session each week Lyn M.
"I recently signed up for a 5 week Meditation class run by Suzy and it was the best thing I have done in ages. I have tried Meditation briefly in the past but have never been able to Visualise and found the Meditation and Visualisation techniques hard to master, this was not the case with Suzy.
Suzy is very friendly and professional but explains everything in plain English and the reasons for doing each meditation and the benefits it could bring. After about the 3rd week I really felt a connection to my daily 10 minute Meditations and more recently the Mantra that Suzy suggested.
Suzy describes the course as a journey and I totally agree, I definitely feel calmer in my daily life and although the Meditation can stir up unresolved events from the past, I am sure over time it will help me find a way though those events and be able to look at them in a different less emotional way.
I would personally recommend Suzy's Meditation course to everyone who wants to start a journey to find Inner Peace and a happier way of Life, just being able to not react to any little problems that we all have to deal with on a daily basis is a great start.
I would personally like to thank Suzy for starting me on my journey and proving to me that anything is possible with Meditation and Visualisation once it is explained in a clear manner that the student can understand." Jane P.
"Learning to meditation with Suzy has been a brilliant experience. Meditation has given me peace of mind, helped me lower my blood pressure and deal with stress! Thanks again Suzy." K. Ashford

Reiki
"It’s difficult to put into words the impact Suzy and Reiki have had on my wellbeing. Suffering with a bad back for decades I decided to approach the problem from a different angle and focus on me, as a whole. I had experienced Reiki many years ago and having found someone local, got in touch with Suzy and made an appointment. Walking into a stranger’s home, talking about yourself and then lying down to enable them to lay their hands on you (or sometimes hovering above the body) might seem daunting and somewhat strange, but Suzy’s manner is such that you feel completely at ease, calm and open to the extraordinary wonders of Reiki.
Whilst I don’t really understand how the gentle laying of hands can channel energy, it does. After a session I feel completely ‘spaced out’, light-hearted and at peace with the world. The latter continues and a true sense of wellbeing replaces the stress and worries I was experiencing thinking my back was going to ‘go’ at any time and render me unable to move.
I honestly believe everyone could benefit from Reiki to restore the body and mind to what we had forgotten they can be." J.J.
